Perkins Design Associates is a small firm with nine employees. This structure lends itself to a high level of Principal involvement in all projects that cannot be guaranteed by larger, more corporate firms. Steven Perkins is actively involved in all of the design work that we do.

Perkins Design Associates has experienced staff with an extensive technical expertise in site design, environmental analysis, and technical and graphic information systems. Our team includes landscape architects, site planners, garden designers, and computer specialists. We pride ourselves on creative approaches to design and problem solving as well as high quality production. We welcome new assignments that challenge our skills, expand our vision, and
enable us to continue to provide quality services to our varied clientele.

Our communication style is both efficient and productive. An Associate is assigned to manage each project, and is actively involved in communications with the client, design work, and also the production work completed by our staff. The tight link between the client and production staff provides a clear means of communication from the client’s vision to the end design product. All of our work is produced together, as a team, within one office environment. The small team environment lends itself to thoughtful and productive involvement by all of our staff, thus increasing efficiency and creativity.

Finally, our work process includes the use of leading edge technologies to provide rapid and accurate exchange of information between team members and clients. We develop informative and usable visual communication tools, and we communicate and exchange files with all members of the design team via email or by our ftp site. Despite being a relatively small office, our technological capabilities insure that our projects are managed in an efficient and effective manner during all phases from design through construction.
